The IBEX Background Monitor (IBaM) measures the
flux of >~14 keV protons at 0.24s time resolution in a 7-deg (FWHM)
conical viewing angle. IBaM is housed with, and coaligned (normal
to the IBEX spin axis) with, the IBEX-Hi instrument. The IBEX spin
period is ~15 sec. IBaM and IBEX-Hi use identical detectors
(channel-electron multipliers) and share a similar electronics
design. See Sp.Sci.Rev. (2009) 146:105-115.
